Yellow Noise is the design project nobody asked for — engineered in the silence between a tiger mum’s disapproval and the cold tone of a rice cooker completing its cycle. We occupy the liminal space between “but where are you really from?” and “your English is surprisingly good” — and we have resolved to transmit. Yellow Noise is graphic design as cultural static: precise, overqualified, and operating beyond the frequency of comfort. We are the signal that persists at the dinner table, the residual aesthetic of the suburban Asian corridor, the red envelope processed and reallocated. If Australian culture is the dominant signal — we are the interference that cannot be filtered out.
